Skins emerged during a period of profound uncertainty and introspection. I view it as a work deeply
shaped by negative emotions, reflecting a time when I was navigating significant psychological
challenges. This experience cultivated a fascination with the interplay of wax and mesh—a combination
evocative of naturally grown organic matter, resembling skin altered or impacted by adverse influences.
Wax, as a material, captivated me for its capacity to embody the passage of time through its gradual
transformation in color, mirroring the shifting nature of self-perception and personal growth.
